Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the hotel, I couldn't help but savor a culinary journey in its cozy Manor Restaurant. The intimate atmosphere, accommodating just 34 guests, made it an ideal space for quiet meals or special gatherings. For breakfast, I was eager to dive into the famous full English spread, and it certainly did not disappoint. Each component was freshly prepared, showcasing locally sourced ingredients which added a delightful touch to the meal. As someone who appreciates a solid breakfast, I found it satisfying without being overly indulgent. Mid-afternoon, I treated myself to the hotel’s afternoon tea. Seated in the sunlit lounge, I delighted in an array of tasty sandwiches, a fresh scone with jam and cream, and an assortment of mini cakes that were simply too good to leave behind. I even had the pleasure of taking a few mini cakes back to my room, a sweet end to a lovely meal. The indoor market stall just minutes away offered even more artisan delights, allowing me to explore local flavors. All in all, this hotel proved to be a culinary haven that complements its inviting hospitality, and I’m excited to return soon as I continue my adventures in New York.
